Applied Kinesiology | Muscle Testing

Applied Kinesiology, aka Muscle Testing, is a non-invasive way of evaluating the body’s energy imbalances. This holistic approach to whole health takes its roots from traditional Chinese medicine. It involves testing the body’s responses when pressure is applied to a specific muscle in order to determine energy blockages, proper organ functions, food sensitivities, nutritional deficiencies, etc.

Muscle Testing is also referred to as Applied Kinesiology. Applied kinesiology originated in the sixties with a compilation of work by chiropractor Dr. George Goodheart. Derivatives of this process have been developed and are referred to as “specialized kinesiologies." The best-known offshoot is a program called Touch for Health (TFH), created by a colleague of Goodheart’s, Dr. John Thie, which is taught worldwide. Thie’s best-selling book, Touch for Health, has sold over half a million copies. Muscle Testing is the process of testing specific acupuncture points on the body to discover particular mineral and/or vitamin deficiencies.
